How giving works
What happens after you tap
- Venmo opens — the app, if your phone hands the link straight to it, or otherwise Venmo’s website, which has a button to open the app.
- The handle that receives gifts is already filled in, along with the amount you chose. You can change either one there.
- A short note travels with the gift, so the family can see what it is for. You can edit it before you send.
- You send it inside Venmo. That is the whole of it.
This page has no payment form, so your card and bank details never touch it. It has no trackers and no analytics either, and the code above is drawn on your own device rather than fetched from an outside service.
